Band Profile: Karloff

Karloff origins go back to late 2017 at a house venue in KW Ontario that went by "snakepit"

At that point I just moved back to KW from Toronto where I discovered Screamo and more interesting punk. After many drunken encounters at snakepit (previously "doom palace") and a harsh noise set I started to become close friends with Nate (No Funeral Records) who exposed to me even more screamo, powerviolence, and noise.

During that time we started jamming really loud noise with our friend Dylan (3 Nines Compact Cassettes), Alberto and a rotating list of members. This group went by KWCNS (Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge Noise Society), and played 2 shows ending a set at snakepit that didn't go as well as we'd hoped.

Karloff started after I listened to a lot of Terry Green, Jeromes Dream, and Norma Jean. I had asked Nate and Trent to jam, Nate brought Alberto and this first practice was awkward but we we're all into it and wanted to keep going. Dylan found out and was pissed we didn't ask him to join (not seriously haha).

Time passed, we released a demo, we had to had a lineup change :/ with Chris taking over drums. Overtime this band has become incredibly important in all of our lives.
